What CarefulPick is

CarefulPick publishes buying guides and comparisons that explain how to choose a product and which options fit which needs. Every claim about a product is tied to a source you can check: the maker's published specifications, certifications, prices, or public review data.

Who owns CarefulPick

CarefulPick is owned and operated by Boily (boily.co.kr). Boily sells AI-search measurement and product-page optimization services to online stores.

This means some brands that appear in our guides may be paying customers of Boily. We consider that a material connection. Every guide names Boily in a disclosure before the main text, and each product from a Boily customer is labeled "Boily customer" (in Japanese guides, "広告").

A Boily customer's product appears in a guide only if that customer has opted in. Opting in does not guarantee inclusion or position.

How we make money

Boily customers pay Boily for its software service, not for placement in CarefulPick guides. If a guide is ever sponsored, it is labeled as sponsored at the top. We do not currently use affiliate links.

What we never do

We do not publish fake or incentivized reviews, invent star ratings, or claim to have tested a product we have not tested. We do not let any brand, customer or not, approve or edit a guide before publication.

Editor

Deokgi Kim, Editor-in-chief. Guides are generated with AI from cited sources, pass automated checks (claims guard, source grounding, no testing claims or ratings), and are published automatically, without a human review before publication. He is responsible for the site, spot-checks guides after publication, and corrects errors reported to editor@carefulpick.com.
